Catering companies are looking for Alternatives
To keep their businesses going, big corporate catering companies are now trying out new ways to cook. Companies like Rassense and Compass Group have started moving some of their work to induction cooking systems, boilers, and even biogas units.
Some catering teams have also come up with “Business Continuity Menus,” which are meant to cut down on LPG use while still feeding employees. Across office campuses, these operations serve hundreds of thousands of meals every day.
What will happen next for businesses?
LPG Shortage: The lack of LPG is also hurting hotels, restaurants, and thousands of small restaurants in cities like Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. If restaurants cut back on their hours because of fuel shortages, food delivery services like Swiggy and Zomato might also get fewer orders.
