Cow Protection: A Topic Need To Be Discussed Briefly

Over the years India has been the flag bearer of cow protection in the world. Cows are treated as God in the Indian contingent but still, there has been a number of cases of slaughtering of mother god in most of the parts of the country.

Indian states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh ban completely the slaughter of cows while others like West Bengal allow it in case of old or unfit cows after the acquisition of “fit for slaughter” certificate. Punishment for violation of these laws varies from state to state.

Going with the laws the chronology of the various pieces of state legislation shows that cow protection laws have become harsher in India over time. And the meaning of the laws has taken them farther and farther away from the reason cited in Article 48.

Despite all the numbers, laws, and the facts there is one topic– the protection of cows in India is the most talked about in India.

During the lockdown number of cows died due to starvation and eating plastics.

An organisation in Haryana’s Faridabad managed by Tushant Adlakha and Kashish Bhatia has taken the initiative to help the ‘mother god’ in the hard times amid the pandemic.

A video went viral on the internet where the organisation were seen helping the cows and feeding them with proper fodder.

The duo have been working closely with locals and the MCF for the betterment of the ‘mother animal’.

It’s high time for everyone in society to take care of homeless cows and the other animals as well.
