The National Testing Agency (NTA) officially released the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025 on July 4, 2025, rousing more than 13 lakh aspirants for undergraduate admission to central, state, and private universities into action.

What took place?

NTA released the final answer keys on July 1, after taking the candidate objections into account. A total of 27 questions were removed from the test, and full credit was given for full marks to all candidates, including those who had not attempted the removed questions.

NTA confirmed on its Twitter on July 2 that the results would be revealed on July 4.

The CUET UG examination was conducted from May 13 to June 4, in two daily sessions (9 am–12 pm and 3 pm–6 pm), in a fully computer‑based test (CBT) format.

Marking scheme

  • +5 marks for each question attempted correctly

  • −1 mark for each answer attempted incorrectly

  • Unattempted questions and the 27 removed questions incurred no penalties.

How to access the results

Candidates can access their scorecards by:

  • Going to the official CUET portal at cuet.nta.nic.in (which is also accessible via nta.ac.in)

  • Clicking the link for "CUET UG 2025 Result/Scorecard,"

  • Entering their application number or roll number along with their date of birth/password

They can also see the PDF scorecard, which they can download for their own records.

What to do Next?

Each participating university will publish its own cut-offs and merit lists based on CUET scores.

Counselling & admissions:

Universities should start their counselling processes somewhere in July/August.

Students will register on their respective university portals (e.g., DU CSAS, BHU UET), select their college/course preferences, upload their documents (scorecard, Class 12 marksheet, ID proof, photos, and category certificates if applicable), and enter the seat allocation rounds.

Once seats are allocated, it is followed up by payment of fees and verification of documents to complete admissions.

Wide Acceptance & Participation

This year, over 250 institutes in the country are using CUET UG scores for admissions, emphasizing that the exam is one window to gain access to undergraduate programs.

As the data shows, this year there were 13.54 lakh registrations (slightly up on recent years), and candidates from all genders and all states participated in the process.
