The 8th Central Pay Commission has extended the deadline for submission of memorandums and representations from stakeholders, employee unions, associations, and government staff until June 15, 2026.
Deadline for Submitting Memorandums to 8th Pay Commission
According to an official notice issued by the Commission, this will be the final extension, and no further extension of the deadline will be granted.
The Commission has advised all interested stakeholders to submit their recommendations, demands, and suggestions through its official website before the revised deadline. Officials clarified that only online submissions made through the Commission’s portal will be considered during the consultation process.
The extension is expected to provide additional time for employee organizations
The notice further stated that hard copies, physical documents, emails, and PDF submissions sent outside the designated online system may not be considered by the Commission.
The extension is expected to provide additional time for employee organizations, pensioners’ associations, and various government bodies to finalize and submit their proposals regarding salary structures, allowances, pensions, fitment factors, and other service-related matters.
The Eighth Pay Commission is currently holding consultations with different stakeholders across the country as part of its exercise to review the pay and pension framework for Central Government employees and pensioners.
Representatives of staff associations have welcomed the extension, saying it will allow more organizations to prepare detailed memorandums and ensure broader participation in the Commission’s deliberations.
The Commission is expected to examine the representations received before making recommendations to the Central Government on future revisions in pay, allowances, and pension benefits.
