Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal opens COVID-19 vaccination centre for persons with disabilities

Amid vaccination campaign in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal government has opened Covid Vaccination Center for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Chhatarpur.

As per information by the South Delhi District Magistrate, the Center will for now complete the PwD age 45 years or above 45.

This vaccination centres will be open every day from 9 am to 5 pm. The centre will be close on Sundays.

However visitors have to carry a proof of disability in the form of a disabled identity card, or proof of residence at a PWD shelter / hostel / center, or any other relevant PWD certificate.

District Social Welfare Officers (DSWO) have been asked to co-ordinate actively with the officials of Revenue and Health Department at the district level to facilitate treatment and immunization timely.

The Delhi government has also instructed to DSWO co-ordinate with the office of the Commissioner of state disabled persons. They have been asked to implement instructions without lacking punctuality.

They have also given district wise list of of NGO to the DSWO , so that DSWO can communicate and provide to the PwDs food shelter treatment and other requirement during this deadly pandemic.
