Delhi Car Horror: 2 More suspected to be involved, reveals CCTV footage

Delhi Car Horror: In the early-morning New Year’s Day vehicle horror in Delhi, two new suspects have come forward. A 20-year-old woman died after being dragged beneath a car for 13 kilometres.
According to the police, who announced today that they will shortly be detained, the guys are Ashutosh, the car’s owner, and Ankush.

“Two more were involved apart from the five men in custody. We have scientific evidence. They tried to cover up for the people who committed the gruesome crime,” according to senior police official Sagarpreet Hooda.
Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mithun, Deepak Khanna, and Manoj Mittal were all detained shortly after the incident.

Investigations have shown that Amit Khanna, not Deepak Khanna as was previously thought, was the vehicle’s driver.

Mr. Hooda claimed that Amit did not possess a driver’s licence

“We have been corroborating or contradicting the version of the accused. We have been able to contradict the version of the accused based on CCTV footage,” he continued, stating that the accused and the victim were unrelated.
“The accused conspired to cover up the crime. They were aware that Anjali’s body was dragged along. It’s a gruesome incident and we are trying to collect the evidence so Anjali gets justice.”

A little after two in the morning, Anjali Singh was riding her scooter with her companion Nidhi when she was struck by a car. Anjali was pulled away by the car after getting her leg stuck in one of the wheels. Even after the drivers noticed her arm under the wheels, she yelled but the car didn’t stop. Before the body came off, the men continued to drive for more than an hour.

Revelations by CCTV footage

Security footage shows that the men returned the car to Ashutosh two hours after the incident and then escaped in an autorickshaw.

At 4.33 in the morning, the males can be seen in Rohini, India, halting the car at a specific location and getting into an awaiting autorickshaw.

The post-mortem report detailed the horrifying injuries that caused Anjali’s death. She sustained at least 40 exterior wounds, some of her “brain matter was missing,” the base of her skull was broken, and her ribs were visible from her back. Her head, spine, and lower limbs were all hurt.

Mr. Hooda was questioned about the police’s reportedly tardy response to calls alerting them to a car dragging a body. “An internal inquiry is being conducted to find out if this was a human error or whether there was a problem with the process, so it can be improved. Action will be taken after the inquiry report is out,” the policeman stated.
