Delhi Murder Case

Delhi Murder Case: According to the owner of the apartment and the secretary of the housing society, Aaftab and his live-in girlfriend Shraddha Walkar claimed to be a married couple six months ago when they rented a home outside of Mumbai for ten months up until last year.

The couple frequently quarrelled

Poonawala and Walkar allegedly told the owner of the apartment at the Regal cooperative housing society in Vasai's Evershine City that they intended to share it with other family members, according to Jayashree Patkar, the apartment's owner. She claimed that by the time they began residing at her residence, the two frequently quarrelled and their relationship had already soured.

According to Dilip Sawant, the secretary of the society, they were told that the couple was married as stated in a copy of the agreement that was provided when renting the apartment for 11 months, from October 2020 to September 2021.

The murder that shook the entire nation

Aftab and Shraddha had connected via a dating app. They began living together, first in Vasai for significant time and then moved to Delhi where he murdered Shraddha in May and chopped her body into 35 parts. Then, at his leased home in Chhatarpur, he put her body in a 300-liter refrigerator. According to reports from the Delhi Police, Aftab dumped her body parts in a neighbouring forest over a period of 18 days. According to reports, he looked up how to dispose of a body on Google.

Four days after Poonawala was taken into custody, the police are now faced with a number of difficulties, including the fact that the murder weapon has not been found, Walkar's phone is still missing, and significant body parts of the victims have not been found.

Her parents had no connection with her

After her parents, who hadn’t talked to her since last year because they were concerned about her interfaith (Hindu-Muslim) relationship, went to the police, Aftab Poonawala was detained earlier this month. When Shraddha’s friends informed him that they hadn’t heard from her in more than two months, he reported her as “missing” and later opened a kidnapping case. Then, Delhi and Maharashtra police worked together to solve the crime.
