Delhi News: After days of sweating under the heat with the temperatures not going down, people of Delhi got some breather from the heat with some light showers in the city today. According to the Met Department, the city is expected to have some comfort from the rising temperature with some drizzle. The city recorded the maximum temperature yesterday with 40.9degress. The Senior Citizens, Patients and children were advised not to step out during peak hours in the afternoon to avoid falling sick.

'People should keep themselves hydrated all the time'
Considering the rise in temperature, the doctors have advised people not to step out between 12pm to 4pm as these are the most disturbing hours of the day for someone who is vulnerable and weak. If at all someone is stepping out, one must carry water bottle or keep themselves hydrated to avoid falling sick. Seasonal fruits like water melons and coconut should be consumed to avoid getting dehydrated.
IMD: Moderate Showers expected next week
Elderly people have been advised to drink water, carry an umbrella and cover their heads while stepping out from the house. The Met Department has also indicated the city will have some moderate rains in the coming week due to the impact of the cyclone ‘Biparjoy’.
