Delhi News: The name of Samajwadi Party MP Mohibbullah Nadvi has surfaced in the stone pelting violence that erupted in the Turkman Gate area.

Delhi Police will question the role of Naqvi in the stone pelting incident that followed the late-night demolition drive in the capital city.
In his defence, Nadvi said he received news that Faiz-e-Ilahi mosque had been surrounded by security forces last night.
Naqvi added previously a Mehrauli mosque had disappeared overnight after which he raised voice in the Indian Parliament. He said he got worried that people in the city may get out of control and therefore he reached the spot. Naqvi added there is also a supporting video in which he can be seen asking people to stay calm and avoid any kind of violence.
Five People Detained
Delhi Police have detained 5 people in the Turkman Gate stone pelting incident. At least 5-6 police personnel were injured along with some MCD workers after some miscreants start pelting glass bottles and stones. This was after MCD and police officials started a court-mandated demolition on land adjoining the Delhi mosque and a nearby graveyard.
