Delhi Police arrests two associates of jailed Olympian wrestler Sushil Kumar

Two vicious criminal associates of Olympian Sushil Kumar have been arrested by the ARSC Crime Branch. Wanted in the sensational murder case of Sagar Dhankhar. The police had declared a cash reward of Rs 50,000 on them.

Both the accused have been arrested by Crime Branch team Mangesh Tyagi and Inspector Robin Tyagi under the strict supervision of ACP Arvind Kumar. The police had declared a reward of Rs 50,000 each on Ankit Dabas (28) and Joginder Kala (43). The police arrested him in the murder of talented wrestler Sagar Dhankhar and in other cases.

To execute Sagar Dhankhar's murder, the accused first brought him to Chhatrasal Stadium, then brutally beat him to death. On May 5, 2021, PCR received a call that firing took place inside Chhatrasal Stadium in PS Model Town. On this the local police and PCR reached the spot. After this they came to know that there was a fight in the parking area of ​​the stadium, after which the injured were brought to BJRM Hospital Jahangir Puri.

District Crime Team was called to investigate the scene of crime

After this, the District Crime Team was called to investigate the scene of crime. During the inspection, five vehicles were found on the spot. During the inspection of suspected vehicles and SOC, a double barrel gun loaded with live cartridges and three mobile phones were recovered from a vehicle containing Mahindra Scorpio car. Two bloodstained wooden sticks were also recovered from the Green Park area near the scene of crime. In local enquiry, it was found that the accused Sushil Pahalwan and his associates had beaten up the injured.

A total of eighteen (18) accused were arrested during the investigation, but two accused Joginder alias Kala and Ankit Dabas were absconding after commission of the crime. Both were hiding themselves and were constantly changing locations.
