Delhi Schools Closed

Delhi Schools Closed: All private schools in Delhi have been instructed to stay closed until January 15 owing to the cold wave. On the day the Directorate of Education issued its warning, Delhi’s temperature dropped to 1.9 degrees Celsius.

Government issues new circular

The official statement read “In continuation to the DOE’s (Directorate of Education) earlier circular, all private schools of Delhi are advised to remain close till January 15, 2023, in the wake of cold wave prevailing in Delhi.” The majority of Delhi’s private schools were slated to reopen tomorrow after having winter breaks up to January 8. Delhi’s public schools will also be closed till January 15.

The circular comes in the wake of severe coldwave and dense fog continuously effecting the natives. Stepping out in such cold has become a big problem. Lately, the temperature in Delhi has been even lower than hill stations. Considering the situation, this circular is important to protect the children from such deadly cold.
