Delhi: In northeast Delhi, four individuals died after being struck by a speeding truck while sleeping on a road divider, Friday night. Police reported that two more people were hurt in the incident that happened at 1.51 am close to the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus depot in the Seemapuri neighbourhood.
4 Died while 2 got injured
Kareem, 52, Chhote Khan, 25, Shah Alam, and Rahu, 45, were named as the deceased. Among those hurt were Pradeep, 30, and Manish, 16.

Police reported that two of the six victims passed away immediately and that four others were taken directly to the GTB hospital. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) R Sathiyasundaram, one of them was declared brought dead while another passed away while receiving treatment.

Images showed their remains close to the border, where an electric pole had also fallen.
According to Mr. Sathiyasundaram, the motorist was operating his vehicle recklessly.
Police teams in search of the driver
After the incident, the truck driver left the area, according to authorities. He is being sought after by numerous police teams, and a case has been registered.
