New Delhi: The Delhi Fire Service announced on Wednesday that a bomb threat was received by e-mail at the Delhi Public School on Mathura Road in the national capital. An investigation was underway, according to reports. This is the second time in a month that a school in the city has received a bomb threat, following a similar incident on April 12 at Sadiq Nagar's Indian School. After receiving an e-mail containing a bomb threat, the school was evacuated, and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad arrived on the scene. This is still a question why Schools are getting these Bomb Threats.

Bomb Threat in the form of an E-mail

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police South Chandan Choudhary, "The threat was most likely a prank." In November 2022, the school received a similar threat in the form of an e-mail indicating that an explosive had been installed on the school grounds. The bomb squad and the dog squad were called, and the school was evacuated.

The warning came four days after a similar threat was issued to DAV Public School, which was later discovered to be a hoax carried out by three school pupils. On social media a message was circulated stating, 'there will be a blast at Spring Dale School on September 16.' This message was circulated on September 12.
