PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the Indians to speak about their culture confidently. He also told the citizens to not suffer from a slave mentality.Modi was addressing his fans and BJP party members at the Palam airport after his return from a 3-day tour. During his tour, Narendra Modi visited Japan, Fiji and Australia and met several world leaders.In his address. Modi said the whole world is keen to listen to the India story and Indians must use this opportunity to present themselves confidently.
‘I have often faced several challenges in my life but it’s my nature to challenge those challenges’, Modi said at the airport. He also said that many countries now respect India because of the help provided by New Delhi during the Covid-19 pandemic.
‘Modi is Boss’
‘PM Narendra Modi is Boss’. declared the Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Sydney. He was referring to a 20,000-strong crowd assembled at Qudos Beach. Albanese said he had never seen such a huge crowd even when Bruce Springsteen came to visit Australia.
In Japan, President Joe Biden approached Modi and asked for his autograph. Biden also told Modi that the latter enjoys immense popularity.
All these are indicators of Modi’s global popularity.
Growing influence
India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das says India’s GDP might grow at 7% or even more.
New Delhi has also played its cards well in the Ukraine-Russia crisis. It hasn’t taken any sides in the conflict but has got cheap crude from Russia.
India is also a key player in BRICS and Quad. BRICS is essentially an economic body comprising Brazil, Russia, China, India and South Africa. The Quad is a 4-nation organization aiming to stabilize the Indo-Pacific region.
