The Election Commission of India has unveiled crucial information on electoral bonds, following the release of data by political parties, as per the guidelines set by the Supreme Court.
Supreme Court Submission Unveiled
The Supreme Court has returned physical copies of the electoral bond data, accompanied by a digitized record stored on a pen drive, all sealed for confidentiality. The Election Commission received this digitized information from the Supreme Court Registry and promptly uploaded it onto its official website.
Crucial Electoral Bonds Data Now Public
The latest data released by the Election Commission provides essential insights into electoral bond transactions. It includes details such as the date of issuance, denominations, number of bonds, issuing State Bank of India (SBI) branch, date of receipt, and date of credit. However, the unique identification numbers of the bonds remain undisclosed.
Lok Sabha Election Announcement
This unveiling of electoral bond data comes on the heels of the Election Commission’s announcement of the Lok Sabha election 2024 schedule. The elections are scheduled to take place in seven phases, spanning from April 19 to June 1.
