Earthquake: The devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkey has brought the world to standstill. Over 4,000 people have been announced death, while many remain under the debris, as per local media reports. Disturbing visuals from Syria and Turkey have surfaced internet, which have left the entire world grappling with fear. After Dutch researcher Frank Hoogerbeets’ prediction regarding the devastating earthquake came true, rumours are rife that now India, Pakistan and other countries.
India, which inhabits 140.76 crore, is the most populated country in the world. At a time when the world is grieving the loss of lives in the Turkey Earthquake, the prediction about the earthquake in India and Pakistan has left people panicking. The prediction is said to be based on correlation with planetary alignment.
A report shared by Hello Pakistan read, “After Dutch researcher Frank Hoogerbeets’ prediction regarding the devastating earthquake came true, rumors are swirling that an earthquake is likely to hit Pakistan, India and other countries. Number of astrologists, geologists from #Turkey and middle East believes that #Pakistan and #India are also at risk of #earthquake in next 72 hours.
The report shared by the Pakistan media outlet is said to be fake and many netizens have called it out. “We are at the converging belt of plates so we can have a high magnitude earth anytime anywhere. Our structures are not that strong to bear high magnitude earthquakes neither we designed them that way. So panicking is not an option. Just follow the emergency evacuation plans and make sure to get under strong furnitures if on top floors,” a user said.
“Earthquakes can never be predicted in advance but since Turkey's earthquake is the result of sesmic activity between Eurasian and Arabic Tectonic plates, so it is quite possible that sesmic activity can also take place between Eurasian and Indian plates and their connection point starts from arabian sea, and enters Afghanistan via Balochistan and passes through Pak-Afghan border and goes all the way to China-India border, Nepal, Bhutan and India-Myanmar border via Hindukush , Karakoram & Himalayan mountain ranges," another user said.
People do not need to panic as earthquake cannot be predicted on scientific basis. However, places with active faults always have a chance for earthquake. Claims of correlation with planetary alignment have not found to be true.
