Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 93rd Annual General Meeting and Annual Conference of the Federation of Indian Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on Saturday. In his address, PM Modi mentioned the benefits of the new agricultural laws and said that the government is fully committed to the interest of farmers.
Addressing the 93rd annual general meeting of FICCI through video conferencing, Modi said that we have seen a lot of change in the 2020 match. The country, the world has gone through so many ups and downs that after a few years when we remember the Corona period, it may not be sure. The faster the situation worsens, the faster it is improving.
PM Narendra Modi in his address said that we have seen walls between agriculture sector and other related sectors like agriculture infrastructure, food processing, storage, cold chain. Now all the walls are being removed, all the obstacles are being removed. After these reforms, farmers will get new markets, new options, technology will be benefited, the country's cold storage infrastructure will be modern. There will be more investment in all this agriculture sector. The farmer of the country is going to benefit the most from all this.
Modi said that earlier policies gave a boost to efficiency in many sectors and new experiments were stopped. Self-sufficient India campaign promotes efficiency in every sector. Emphasis is being laid on technology-based industries in sectors in which India has long-term competitive adventure.
Prime Minister Modi said, 'The way India has worked unitedly in the past, has made policies, has taken decisions, has surprised the whole world. The trust of the world that India had built in the last six years has strengthened in the last month. Be it FDI or FPI. Investors of the world are investing heavily in India.
Speakers at this year's FICCI AGM include prominent businesses such as Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO, Alphabet's former chairman Eric Schmidt, Tata Group chairman N Chandrasekaran, Cadila Healthcare chairman Pankaj Patel and Oyo Hotels Homes founder and group CEO Ritesh Agarwal Leaders are included. More than 10,000 delegates from around the world are participating in this mega event virtually.
