It is known to all that several districts in Bihar were ravaged by the continuous floods. Other than that, the situation at several places in UP has also become grave due to floods. Homes, schools, and colleges are filled with knee-deep water, with which people have to face much hassle.

Continuous Rains Trigger Severe Floods in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh

The continuous rains for many days in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have created a flood situation in many districts. The water level of various rivers of the state, including Kosi, is in spate. Besides this, if we talk about Uttar Pradesh, then because of floods in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, the situation has worsened. The worst condition was reported at three places—Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, and Shahjahanpur in UP.

Here, the flood has affected 20 lakh people. The situation is that people have compelled to leave their homes and spend their days of life in tents. Officials claimed that the situation was grim in East Champaran, Gopalganj and West Champaran districts as many rivers including Gandak and Budhi Gandak are either flowing above their danger level or close to the danger mark at some places.

IMD Issues Alerts

For quite a few days, Assam has been gripped by floods. The floods have showered problems in abundance on the people across the entire state.. The most important thing is that lots of people are also losing their lives due to floods every day. Due to which the situation has worsened. This flood was very terrible for animals too. As revealed from ASDMA’s report on floods, more than 6 lac animals have been affected.

The Meteorological Department, that is, the IMD, issued an alert for heavy rain in many states of the country on July 14. The department issued an orange alert for Mumbai today and urged people to stay indoors. At the same time, there is also a warning of heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh.
