G20 Summit: 400 rooms already booked in Delhi hotels

Delegates who are scheduled to attend the upcoming G20 Leaders’ Summit in Delhi next month are expected to begin their arrivals shortly. During the summit, more than 30 hotels in the Delhi-NCR region will serve as accommodations for these delegates.

The ITC Maurya Sheraton has been designated for the stay of US President Joe Biden, where the American Secret Service will maintain a strong presence on every floor. Special security measures, including the installation of a dedicated lift to reach the 14th floor, will be implemented. Approximately 400 rooms have been reserved in this hotel for the event.

Chinese President Xi Jinping will be hosted at the Taj Palace, while other prominent leaders’ accommodations include British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the Shangri-La Hotel, French President Emmanuel Macron at the Claridges Hotel, and Australian PM Anthony Albanese at the Imperial Hotel.

Advance liaison teams from various countries such as the US, UK, and China have already arrived in India to prepare for the summit

The delegation from Turkey will be housed at The Oberoi Hotel in Delhi, while delegates from Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria, and Spain will stay at Le Meridien. Similarly, the Taj Palace in Delhi will accommodate delegations from China and Brazil, the Imperial Hotel will host Indonesian and Australian delegations, Shangri-La will welcome delegates from the UK and Germany, and the Italian and Singaporean delegations will be accommodated at the Hyatt Regency in Delhi.

The US delegation is set to stay at ITC Maurya Sheraton, the Lodhi Hotel will host the Oman delegation, the French delegation will be situated at the Claridges Hotel, and the Bangladesh delegation will be accommodated at the Grand Hyatt in Gurugram.

Furthermore, the Lalit Hotel in Delhi will host the Canadian and Japanese delegations, the Oberoi Hotel in Gurugram will house the Korean delegation, the ITC Sheraton in Saket will accommodate the Egyptian delegation, and the Leela Hotel in Gurugram will host the Saudi Arabian delegation.

Lastly, the UAE delegation will find accommodations at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Delhi.
