Ganesh Chaturthi is observed throughout the country to commemorate the birth of the god of knowledge, who is worshipped before commencing anything new.

This auspicious ten-day period, also known as Ganeshotsav, begins on Chaturthi Tithi and concludes on Anantha Chaturdashi. Lord Ganesh, the god of knowledge and fortune, is born during the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month, according to devotees.

During this holiday, people bring Lord Ganesh idols to their houses, fast, create delectable cuisines, pray to the Lord, and perform rituals. With Ganesh Chaturthi returning in 2022 and only two days to the celebration, preparations are in full gear across the country.
