Indian Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in 2023 feature extraordinary pandals, with themes including Chandrayaan-3 and the G20 summit, grabbing headlines and fascination.

Ganesh Chaturthi 2023: The festival of Ganeshotsav holds special importance in Maharashtra. Annually, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, symbolising wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune. In 2023, Ganeshotsav will span from September 19 to September 28.

This year’s celebration has brought attention to a remarkable Ganpati pandal designed to resemble the spacecraft of Chandrayaan-3, capturing the attention of many on social media. Below is a list of pandals that have left everyone truly mesmerised.

Unique pandals of Ganesh Chaturthi 2023:

1. Chandrayaan-3 Resembling Lord Ganpati Pandal

In Tamil Nadu, there is a Ganesh pandal that features India’s Chandrayaan-3 moon mission. India made history by landing softly on the Moon’s south pole just last month. Outside the pandal, there’s a model of the spacecraft hanging by the road, making it look like a small ISRO spaceship that even seems to “take off” with flames and smoke.

2. G20 Inspired theme

For Ganesh Chaturthi, a special pandal has been constructed in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, inspired by the G20 Summit and Chandrayaan-3. It includes a massive 51-foot-tall idol as part of its design.

3. Currency themed Pandal

In Bengaluru, the Sri Sathya Ganapathy Temple has adorned its surroundings with coins and currency notes valued at nearly ₹3 crores. The temple’s decorations include numerous coins and currency notes ranging from ₹10, ₹20, ₹50, to ₹500 denominations.

4. Ayodhya’s Sri Ram Temple theme Pandal

In Pune, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, there is a Ganesh pandal with a theme inspired by Ayodhya’s Ram Temple.
