Ghaziabad News: The name of the Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail will be "Namo Bharat." The programme will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow, October 20. As he simultaneously launches the RapidX train connecting Sahibabad to the Duhai Depot, signifying the start of RRTS operations in India, and inaugurates the priority section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Corridor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to make history in the country's transportation landscape. On October 20, 2023, the event will be held at the Sahibabad RapidX Station in Uttar Pradesh.
Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor
An important addition to India's transport network is the 17-kilometer priority segment of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor. With stops along the way at Ghaziabad, Guldhar, and Duhai, this stretch will link Sahibabad to the "Duhai Depot." It is noteworthy that on March 8, 2019, the Prime Minister lay the foundation stone for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor.
A New Era of High-Speed Intercity Travel
This project is a wonderful fit with Prime Minister Modi's plan to build world-class transport infrastructure in order to transform regional connections. The RRTS is intended to be a brand-new, high-frequency, semi-high-speed rail-based commuter transit system. RRTS, which has a spectacular design speed of 180 km/h, intends to offer high-speed trains for intercity travel every 15 minutes. Depending on demand, this frequency may be increased to as often as every 5 minutes.
Benefits of Regional Transportation Solutions
These revolutionary regional transportation solutions will boost the local economy, increase access to jobs, healthcare, and educational opportunities, and considerably lessen air pollution and traffic congestion.
