Giriraj Singh Supports Dharmendra Pradhan's Efforts
On This issue, Union Minister Giriraj Singh says, "Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan held cordial talks with students and parents...The decision (on almost 1,563 candidates) has been taken as per the students' wish, I hope that Dharmendra Pradhan will work very seriously on this matter."
Recently Priyanka Gandhi criticized the administration and the Minister of Education, saying, "As soon as the new BJP government took oath, it again started attacking the dreams of the youth. The arrogant response of the Education Minister (Dharmendra Pradhan) on the irregularities in the NEET exam results completely ignores the cries of 24 lakh students and their parents. Does the Education Minister not see the facts available in the public domain?"
Supreme Court Questions Exam Integrity
In a June 11 hearing, the Supreme Court expressed concerns that the "sanctity of the exam has been affected" and requested clarification. On this date, it also sent notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA) and other responders. Every day, more lawsuits are being filed in court, asking for various things including a retest and an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
This academic year's NEET-UG exam was administered by NTA on May 5. In 571 cities, this exam was administered, and almost 24 lakh applicants took it. According to media sources, Patna police detained a gang in connection with the question paper leak that occurred before to the exam day. Although there have been reports of question paper leaks in Patna and a few other northern states, the NTA refuted all of these claims in a press release, asserting that the exam's integrity was upheld before the results were announced. Furthermore, several FIRs pertaining to impersonation and other malpractices were also filed.
