Gold, gun and Rs 10 lakh stolen from BJP MP Sonali Phogat’s house in Haryana

A case of theft was reported at BJP MP and former Bigg Boss contestant Sonali Phogta’s house in Haryana’s Hisar where Rs 10 lakh, a licensed revolver and other valubable were stolen.

Sonali was away in Chandigarh when the mishappening took place, the police said. It was on February 15 after returning from Chandigarh that she found out that someone broke into her house.

In her complaint, she has said hat gold and silverware, a silver pot, Rs 10 lakh cash, jewellery, a .22 bore licensed pistol, and eight cartridges are missing from her house in Sant Nagar.

Even as her house had CCTV cameras installed, the thieves took the digital video recorder that contained footage, police said. The case is currently being probed.

Phogat recently appeared in the house of Bigg Boss 14 as a wild card entry but her stint in the show was short lives as she was evicted just weeks after entering. She had unsuccessfully contested the 2019 assembly polls from the Adampur seat against Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi.
