Government announces 10% reservation for ex-Agniveers in CISF

The Union Home Ministry has announced 10 percent reservation for ex-firefighters in vacancies in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The ministry had taken a similar step a week ago for them in the Border Security Force (BSF). Along with this, the ministry has also issued a notification giving relaxation in the maximum age limit. This exemption will be given on the basis of whether Agniveer belongs to the first batch or the second batch. Apart from this, it has been said in the notification that former firefighters will also be given exemption in physical efficiency test.

Apart from this, the government has made many other announcements regarding Agniveer. With the launch of the Agniveer Yojana, the government had also announced that 25 percent of the Agniveer jawans would get confirmed jobs. Along with this, the government had also said that after serving in the army for four years, Agniveer would be able to get more jobs than others. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also announced to give priority to Agniveers in the recruitment of CAPF and Assam Rifles. During this, Agniveers will be given a graduation degree course, which will be recognized abroad as well.

Age relaxation will also be available

According to the notification issued by the Union Home Ministry, in the recruitment of BSF and CISF, a relaxation of five years in the upper age limit for the candidates of the first batch of Agniveer and three years for the candidates of other batches will be given. Apart from this, relaxation will also be given in the Physical Efficiency Test.
