Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas BV on the allegations linked to COVID relief material distribution said that he and his team will continue to serve people and they got nothing to hide. Srinivas was under the custody of Delhi Police and questioned at his party headquarters.
IYC President Srinivas BV was questioned by the Delhi Police Crime Branch sleuths over the sources of oxygen cylinder and other life-saving drug distributed by his volunteers to the needy in Delhi NCR.
“Crime Branch officials had come to the youth Congress office regarding a PIL filed in Delhi High Court by 12 people seeking action against hoarding of oxygen and other life-saving drugs. We have shared all the information with them and we have nothing to hide; we will continue with the relief work,” Srinivas said.
Congress claimed that similar notices have been sent to its Delhi unit president Anil Kumar and former MLA Mukesh Sharma. They even called the police inquiry as an act of “harassment”, as quoted saying by India Today.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted his support to the Indian Youth Congress, saying “I stand with IYC”.
