Hema Malini, a veteran actress-turned-politician, is frequently seen amusing her fans and followers with interesting anecdotes about her professional and personal lives. When Hema recently stated that a filmmaker once asked her to remove the pin from her saree so that it would fall, everyone was taken aback.
Hema began her acting career in the 1960s, and during the course of her career spanning five decades, she has appeared in more than 100 films. She formally entered politics with the BJP in 2004, and as of right now, she represents the Mathura constituency in the Lok Sabha.
Hema voiced her disinterest in working in films once more after thinking about how the industry has changed and gotten more challenging.
When director wanted Hema to remove her saree pin
Without naming anyone, Hema described how a director previously requested that she take her saree pin out in order for the pallu to come down during a recent interview.
She admitted that she always pinned the pallu of her saree. He desired to capture a specific scene. My saree always has a pin on it. “Saree niche gir jayegi,” I murmured. They responded, ‘That’s what we want,'” Hema remembered.
Additionally, she stated how Raj Kapoor sought her for the role of Satyam Shivam Sundaram even though he was certain that she would never agree to play it. She continued, saying that Raj Kapoor’s mother had also been involved in the conversation, and she gave Raj Kapoor’s request a dismissive nod.
