Himachal Pradesh Election: BJP Reveals the Names of Candidates for 62 Seats. Here is the List

Himachal Pradesh Election: 62 candidates have been named by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the 2022 Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections. Chief Minister Jairam Thakur will run from Seraj, while Satpal Singh Satti will run from Una and Anil Sharma, the son of former Union minister Sukh Ram, will run from Mandi.
The party’s Central Election Committee, which includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top leaders, finalised the list on Monday. The list includes five women candidates. A few sitting MLAs have been removed. Eight candidates from the Scheduled Tribe Category received tickets from the party as well, despite there only being three seats set out for this group.

The Congress unveiled its initial list of 46 candidates a day earlier

The Congress unveiled its initial list of 46 candidates for the hilly state a day earlier. Mukesh Agnihotri, the grand old party’s legislative party leader, ran from Haroli in the Una district.

Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Kuldeep Singh Rathore, both former state congressmen, will run in the Nadaun and Theog constituencies, respectively. Asha Kumari, a former state minister and secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), has been fielded from the Dalhousie seat.

The state has begun the nomination process for the upcoming assembly elections, and the deadline for submitting nominations is October 25. Results will be announced on December 8 after voting in the state takes place on November 12.
