In the Kishtwar area of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces arrested a member of the outlawed terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahideen on Friday along with a Chinese grenade, according to the police.
Mohd Yousaf Chouhan, a resident of Kishtwar's Chhar Cherji village, has been identified as the terrorist's associate.
According to police officials, a case was opened based on information about Mohd Yousaf Chouhan's involvement in activities related to terrorism.
They said that teams of police, the Army, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a search operation in the district's Cherji, Chicha, and Padyarna areas and captured a member of the Hizb.
Following his disclosure, police in the Cherji area found one Chinese grenade, according to the officials. To find active terrorists in the area and further investigate leads in the case, a significant search operation has been begun, they added.
Senior Superintendent of Police Khalil Poswal of Kishtwar issued a warning to young people not to fall to the devious plots of terrorist organisations that will harm their careers.
so that appropriate urgent action is taken against them, he said.
