Holi 2023: From Ranbir Kapoor to Athiya Shetty – Five Bollywood stars who shy away from the festival of colours

Holi 2023: The festival of colours is just around the corner. People have started preparing for the festival with making sweets at home and buying colours. However, while many of us prepare for the celebration, there are many Bollywood stars who are not much into the festival. This could be surprising to know but many of the leading stars tend to sideline themselves from the festival. Read below to know about these stars.

1. Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor is not very fond of celebrating the festival. His friend and director of Brahamastra and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani once revealed in an interview that Ranbir is not at all into the festival yet he shot a song ‘Balam Pichkari.’ However, contrary to him, his father Rishi Kapoor and grandfather Raj Kapoor used to organise some of the grandest holi parties for the entire Bollywood fraternity.

2. Karan Johar

The star director once publicly said that he once used to play the festival of colours with great enthusiasm but an incident happened when he was 10 years old and since then he has completely stopped playing Holi.

3. Kareena Kapoor

As per the reports, the iconic actress Kareena Kapoor stopped playing Holi after her grandfather Raj Kapoor passed away. The family keenly celebrated the festival but after the passing away of veteran actor Raj Kapoor, they believed it was never the same fun.

4. Tiger Shroff

Action hero of Bollywood, Tiger also believes that playing Holi causes water wastage. He also sidelines himself from the festival because he feels that the chemical used in colour creation could be very harmful and thus its better to stay away.

5. Athiya Shetty

Athiya Shetty supports enjoying Holi in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Athiya thinks that playing Holi damages stray animals and causes water to be wasted. Thus, she is also not very fond of playing with colours.
