When Delhi Police received some “concrete leads” leads on his whereabouts, they sent a team to Bengaluru. After the 71-year-old woman’s complaint, which was included in the First Information Report (FIR), went viral and sparked outrage and calls for his arrest on social media, Mishra was on the run.

Even though Shankar Mishra turned off his phone, the police claimed that he was still contacting his buddies on social media. This provided the police with a chance to find him.

According to sources, Mishra, 34, has used his credit/debit card at least once.

Accused was staying at his sister’s home in Sanjay Nagar, Bengaluru

Accused Shankar Mishra in the IGIA case was apprehended in Bengaluru by a Delhi Police team, brought to Delhi, and further investigation into the case is ongoing, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Airport) Ravi Kumar Singh. In Sanjay Nagar, the accused was residing at the residence of his sister.

On November 26, an Air India flight from New York to Delhi was accused of having Shankar Mishra urinate on an elderly passenger while his pants were unfastened. Later, he begged the woman not to call the police and say something about him since it would affect his wife and child.

On January 4, Delhi Police filed a FIR against him in response to a complaint the woman made to Air India.

The Indian Chapter of the American financial services company Wells Fargo terminated Mishra’s employment after finding the allegations to be “very distressing.”
