Hyderabad: 2 Women Held at Hyderabad Airport, Caught with Gold Worth 74 Lakhs

Hyderabad: On Wednesday, October 12, two female travelers were detained for possessing hidden gold valued Rs. 74.02 lakhs at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.

Officers from the Air Intelligence Unit detained the two women at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport when they landed from Dubai. They carried disguised 24-karat gold, which was found when their luggage was inspected.

The 1,410 grams of 99% pure gold costs for Rs 74.02 lakhs.

The two women were detained, and the gold was seized in accordance with Section 110 of the Customs Act of 1962.
