British Era Tradition scrapped by IMA

IMA: In a Fresh Update, the Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended the Horse cart Tradition in the Indian Military Academy’s Passing out parade. This was introduced by the Britishers as a part of the tradition. The Chief Guests at the Passing out Parade used to arrive in Horse carriages . The move has ended the 90 year old tradition introduced by the Britishers. Joining the Indian Military Academy is a dream of every youth who comes with a passion to protect the country. Every Year thousands of Foreign and Indian cadets pass out from the Indian Military Academy as officers.

The Parade will be held on June 10th

The Passing out parade is scheduled to be held on the Coming June 10th. The Army Chief Manoj Pandey will be the Chief Guest at the Passing out Parade this time. Unfortunately this time the salute from this Passing out Parade, the main Horse cart ritual is being abolished by the Ministry of Defence. To follow the tradition, The inspection officers also used to be a part of the Passing out Parade. Apart from the Patiala coach , Jaipur Coach which was presented by the Maharaja of Jaipur, the Victorian coach as well as the Commander’s Flag coach were also used in the Indian Military Academy passing out Parade.
