Independence Day: These routes will be closed in Delhi today due to full dress rehearsal

There are only two days left for the Independence Day to come, and before this, security has been made in every corner in Delhi. Before the Independence Day program, full dress rehearsal is to be held in the capital Delhi today, in such a situation, many areas of Delhi will remain closed today and traffic routes have been changed at many places.

According to the advisory of Delhi Police, the Red Fort area will be completely closed from 4 am to 10 am, the same will happen on 15th August.

Apart from this, Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chandni Chowk Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Esplanade Road, Ring Road-Rajghat, Outer Ring Road-IP Flyover will also remain closed for the general public from 4 am to 10 am.

There will be a ban on the entry of goods vehicles on Nizamuddin Bridge and Wazirabad Bridge from the night of 12 August till 11 am on 13 August and again from the night of 14 August to the morning of 15 August. The operation of buses between Maharana Pratap ISBT to Sarai Kale Khan ISBT will also be stopped in this timeline.

Apart from these important roads, advisory related to parking has also been issued. Vehicles that do not have a parking label have been asked to avoid plying on certain routes till August 15. These include India Gate, Mandi House, Sikandra Road, Tilak Marg, Mathura Road, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Subhash Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Ring Road.

Apart from these, the parking facility available at the Delhi Metro station will also remain closed till August 15. According to the Delhi Metro, the parking facility will be closed at all stations from 6 am on August 14 to 2 pm on August 15, although the metro will continue to run.
