PM Modi: India is attempting to accomplish the same through the G20, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who stated that his goal at the G7 conference was to raise awareness of the issues facing the Global South. The PM stated that India sees it as its duty to use the G20 to communicate the worries, hopes, and aspirations of the Global South to the rest of the globe. The Prime Minister was speaking in Papua New Guinea at the third summit of the India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC).

Additionally, PM Modi stated that India favours multilateralism and a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific. “India is pleased to be your partner in growth. India is a trustworthy business partner. Without hesitation, we are prepared to share our knowledge and skills with you. We support a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific because we believe in multilateralism, the Prime Minister added. The PM said, “India believes it its responsibility to transmit the worries, expectations, and aspirations of the Global South to the globe through the G20. This was also my work over the previous two days at the G7 meeting. On his first trip to the island nation, Prime Minister Modi arrived here on Sunday.
PM Modi’s Arrival at APEC House Sets the Stage for FIPIC III Summit
In a tweet, the spokesperson for the external affairs ministry, Arindam Bagchi, wrote: “PM Narendra Modi arrives at the historic APEC House, which is situated on the beaches of Ela Beach in Port Moresby. greeted with open arms by PM James Marape. The FIPIC III Summit will be co-hosted by the two presidents, promoting regional harmony. The MEA spokeswoman stated that PM Modi and PM James Marape discussed a variety of topics, including fostering collaboration across industries, addressing climate change, and fostering inter-ethnic relations, according to PTI. From May 19 to May 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited three countries to attend the G7 summit, the Quad Summit, and the third summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC III Summit). President Joe Biden’s original plan, however, was altered as a result of the US debt crisis, and the meeting of the Quad leaders took place in Japan’s Hiroshima at the G7 conference.
