In a significant military development, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), confirmed that recent Indian strikes across nine terror hubs have resulted in the elimination of over 100 terrorists, including key figures involved in the 1999 IC814 hijack and the 2019 Pulwama attack. These high-value targets include notorious terrorists such as Yusuf Azhar, Abdul Malik Rauf, and Mudasir Ahmed, all of whom had been instrumental in orchestrating major terror events in India.

Addressing the nation, Lieutenant General Ghai highlighted the precision and strategic importance of these operations. He explained that while India’s action was a calculated response, Pakistan violated the Line of Control (LoC) shortly afterward. The retaliation from Pakistan was erratic, with the enemy hitting civilian areas, inhabited villages, and religious sites, including Gurudwaras, resulting in unfortunate casualties.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) played a crucial role in these strikes, engaging several of the terror camps with airstrikes. The Indian Navy also contributed precision munitions, further supporting the effectiveness of the mission.
Lieutenant General Ghai stated, “The line of control was also violated soon after, and the erratic and rattled response of our enemy was apparent from the number of civilians, inhabited villages and religious sites such as Gurudwaras that were unfortunately hit by them, leading to a sad loss of lives.” He emphasized the effectiveness of the coordinated efforts by India’s military branches, noting that the Indian Air Force maintained a constant presence in the skies throughout the operation.
India's action has sent a clear message regarding its commitment to counter-terrorism efforts and its resolve in the face of threats to national security.
