Indian Army: On Thursday, an Indian Army aircraft crashed near the Mandala Hills area of Arunachal Pradesh. Search and rescue activities are underway to locate the missing pilots. According to Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, PRO Defence Guwahati, an Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter was on an operational sortie when it lost touch with air traffic control (ATC) at around 09:15 a.m. today. "An Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter flying an operational sortie near Bomdila, Arunachal Pradesh, was reported to have lost touch with the ATC at around 09:15 am today," Lt Col Rawat said. The plane is said to have crashed at Mandala, west of Bomdila. Search and rescue teams have been formed."
Army chopper lost communication midway
Following that, Arunachal Pradesh Police stated that an Army chopper lost communication midway and could not be located while travelling from Senge village to Missamari. According to the local police, locals from the Bangjalep area notified them of a helicopter crash at 12:30 p.m.

There were two pilots on board
It went on to say that two pilots were on board and that search and rescue teams from the Army, SSB, and police had already arrived at the scene. According to the local police, images of the region are currently unavailable due to a lack of connectivity. It further stated that the weather in the vicinity is extremely foggy, with visibility of only 5 metres. "There were two pilots on board.
