Baramulla: Early on Saturday morning, the Indian Army stopped a terrorist attempt to cross the Line of Control into Jammu and Kashmir's Uri Sector. Additionally, a quadcopter being used by the Pakistani Army to support the terrorists was sighted across the Line of Control and forced to retreat after being shot upon.

An attempt was made by a group of armed terrorists to cross the Line of Control, but Indian troops were alert and saw them and engaged them in a firefight, the Army stated in a release.The terrorists were compelled to give up their attempt to invade Kashmir Valley after they were unable to hold their foothold.

The statement continued, "This desperate action by the terrorists—duly assisted by the Pakistan Army—is yet another failed attempt to disrupt the G20 Summit and cause unrest in the Valley." The area's deep forests are the scene of extensive search activities.
