In a thoughtful gesture to serve the faith and devotion of millions of Shiva devotees during the sacred month of Shravan, the Indian Railways has launched a series of Shravani Mela Special Trains, ensuring smoother and faster travel to key pilgrimage destinations.
In a recent tweet, Indian Railways said:
“श्रावण मास की आस्था को मिली रफ्तार!
श्रावणी मेला स्पेशल ट्रेनों से हर भक्त पहुँचे भोलेनाथ के द्वार।
शिवभक्तों को रेल का अनुपम उपहार।”

Several special trains have been introduced to cater to passengers traveling from Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal towards prominent Shravan pilgrimage hubs:

With lakhs of devotees undertaking these spiritual journeys, Indian Railways has stepped up efforts to ensure safe, convenient, and timely travel to the abodes of Lord Shiva.
Additional arrangements such as medical aid, water supply, and crowd control are also being coordinated across railway zones involved in these routes.
Indian Railways’ timely initiative has been widely appreciated by devotees across the country, as it strengthens religious tourism and facilitates access to some of the most spiritually significant destinations during Shravan.
