CBuD App: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the ITU Area Office and Innovation Center in Delhi and unveiled the “Call Before u Dig” (CBuD) app to help in excavation. The CBuD software will make it easier for excavation companies and the owners of subterranean utilities to coordinate so that utilities are not harmed during digging.
India deployed 5G in more than 125 cities
The Prime Minister spoke at the occasion in Delhi and remarked, “India’s “Techade” is this decade. India has already begun discussing 6G less than six months after the deployment of 5G. This demonstrates India’s confidence. From merely being a user, India is quickly evolving into an exporter of telecom technology. India’s telecom and digital business models are efficient, safe, trustworthy, and transparent.” In less than 120 days, India deployed 5G in more than 125 cities. According to PM Modi, India would establish 100 5G labs in the upcoming years. “It is only natural to anticipate from India when we discuss closing the technology divide… In India, communication technology aims to provide its users more authority.”
Provide excavation contractors with a point of contact
An effort made by Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications and Government of India, is results in mobile application “Call Before u Dig” (CBuD). It seeks to provide excavation contractors with a point of contact so they may find out whether there are any subsurface utilities present before beginning excavation work. Utility owners can also learn about upcoming work at the site using the service.
