International Yoga Day 2021: Shobhit University invites you to celebrate life with Yoga

Yoga celebrates life in more than one way. Besides longevity, it provides one with physical and mental disciplines instrumental in achieving a peaceful mind and healthy body. In this modern life that sees people rushing from one place to another in minutes, Yoga calms the brain and enhances its vital functioning.

When is Yoga Day celebrated?

International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 annually since 2015. Owing to Yoga’s demonstrated benefits towards immunity building and stress relief, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on 11th December 2014. Since 2015, the day is observed all over the world, working as a reminder for people globally to count benefits of Yoga and bring it in practice in everyday life.

Yoga Day with Shobhit University

Shobhit University, a multi-disciplinary university, is celebrating International Yoga Day from 16th to 21st June. The five-day-long event aims to aware one and all about the benefits of Yoga and how the practice can be viewed as a way to celebrate life. The event will see the presence of eminent Yoga Guru, including Sri Soham, Padam Shri Swami Bharat Bushan ji and Dr Surkashit Goswami, who will enlighten everyone on how to celebrate life with Yoga.

“It’s very important to celebrate life and to celebrate life we have to connect with ourselves. Yoga is one way to connect with yourself. let us celebrate life with Yoga. At Shobhit University, we are celebrating International Yoga Day with Yoga leaders. They will tell us how to celebrate life with Yoga,” Shri Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Co-founder and chancellor of Shobhit University, in his message said.
