The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has officially opened the registration window for the recruitment of Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts across multiple disciplines. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website, isro.gov.in, with the last date to submit applications set for June 16, 2025. The final date to complete payment is June 18, 2025.

Vacancies Announced

ISRO is recruiting for a total of 320 posts, categorized as follows:

Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Electronics): 113

Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Mechanical): 160

Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Computer Science): 44

Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Electronics) – PRL: 2

Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Computer Science) – PRL: 1

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, receiving a minimum basic pay of ₹56,100 per month, along with other applicable allowances and benefits as per government norms.

Application Fee Structure

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹250 for each post. A uniform processing fee of ₹750 must be paid by all candidates initially.

Refunds are applicable for those who appear in the written examination:

Full ₹750 refund for women, SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates

₹500 refund (after deducting ₹250 fee) for all others 

Application and Refund Process

A uniform processing fee of ₹750 is applicable to all applicants at the time of submission.

However, ISRO has introduced a refund mechanism:

Full refund of ₹750 will be provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, Women, and Ex-Servicemen categories, only if they appear for the written exam.

Other candidates who appear for the exam will be refunded ₹500 (i.e., ₹250 will be retained as the application fee).

The official notification warns that no further communication will be sent via post, and all updates will be made through email or the ISRO website only. Applicants are advised to check their inbox (including spam/junk folders) and ISRO’s official site regularly.
