Two terrorists were killed in an encounter on Saturday evening in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. Along with this, there are reports of some more terrorists being trapped there, for which search operation is being done. This encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in Vangam area of Shopian. Two army personnel were also injured in this incident. The injured soldiers have been taken to the 92 Base Hospital. After this, an army soldier died in the hospital. Till the news is written, after the encounter, the terrorists are being searched jointly by the security forces by siege of the areas.
According to news agency PTI, the police said that the encounter took place in Vangam area of South Kashmir. He told that the terrorists killed in the operation have not been identified. According to the police, the campaign is still going on and details are awaited.
Earlier on Thursday, the police claimed to have arrested two activists of the terrorist organization involved in the attack on CRPF convoy in Lavepora, Kashmir, within 24 hours. Two personnel were killed and two others were injured in the attack. “It was a painful terrorist incident,” Inspector General of Police of Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar told reporters on Friday.
