Jharkhand: Software engineer beaten up, gang-raped in Chaibasa

Allegations of gang rape surfaced in Chaibasa, Jharkhand, following the beating and picking of a software engineer from the road. Police have already filed an FIR against 10 people suspected to be involved in this incident.

Police sources claim that the victims are from a tribal community. The incident happened on October 20 in the evening. The young woman was talking with friends while standing on the street. At that point, allegedly 8–10 individuals surrounded the two of them. The girl was coerced into a car by beating her friend. She was taken to a remote location where she was then gang-raped and beaten.

The woman reportedly revealed to the authorities that the accused left her at a remote location after gang-raping her.

They stole the girl’s phone and money bag before fleeing. The young woman eventually found her way home after this incident. Inform all members of the family. They then went to the police station and reported the kidnapping and gang rape there.

The victim claimed to be working from home. On Thursday night, she and her friend rode a two-wheeler to the ancient airport region of Chaibasa. Ashutosh Shekhar, the superintendent of police for the West Singhbhum district, announced that a case had been opened at the Mufassil police station.
