JP Nadda: The BJP national executive, has unanimously decided to extend party president J.P. Nadda's term till June 2024. The decision was announced by the BJP's senior strategist and Home Minister Amit Shah on the second day of the executive meet of the party.
"The tenure of JP Nadda as national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party has been extended till June 2024," BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced. “Under JP Nadda’ leadership, we had the highest strike rate in Bihar. The NDA won majority in Maharashtra, won in Uttar Pradesh, and our numbers increased in West Bengal. We also registered a landslide victory in Gujarat,” Amit Shah added.

General elections in 2024
Talking about the 2024 general elections, Amit Shah said, "I am sure that under the leadership of Modi ji and with Nadda ji, we will win more seats than 2019 in 2024 polls."
The announcement came on the concluding day of the BJP’s 2-day national executive meeting in Delhi. All top leaders of the party including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh, party president JP Nadda and BJP chief ministers, are attending the all-important meeting.
Nadda’s extension comes in a year when nine states will go to polls.

JP Nadda became the BJP working president in 2019 after party chief Amit Shah assumed office as Union minister. Nadda took up the full-time party presidency in 2020. His extension as the national president of the saffron party was anticipated.
BJP recently won Gujarat elections with a thumping majority but also lost in JP Nadda's home state Himachal to Congress.
Nadda has got extension till June 2024 while next general elections are expected to be held in May, 2024.
