Karnataka: Potholes are very disturbing and dangerous for people. They give birth to accidents. Many people take part in the protest against potholes but there’s a unique case came from Karnataka. A social worker from Karnataka’s Udupi took part in a unique protest against potholes on the roads. Nityananda Olakadu rolled out on the road in the ritual called the ‘Urulu Seve’ on Wednesday. He was demanding the repair of roads in Udupi.

Offered aarti to the potholes

‘Urulu Seve’ is a ritual that commonly followed in temples. The person who wants to do this, have to roll out on the ground for the welfare of the society. That’s why Nityananda Olakadu preferred this ritual to raise a voice against potholes. He began his protest by breaking coconut and offering aarti to the potholes on the road of Udupi.

He said while addressing the media that the tender of Manipur Udupi National highway being alloted just three years ago but the highway is in a pathetic condition in a very short period of time. He further said, “No one is raising any voice regarding these issues but they are very serious. Thousands of people use this road every day. It’s about thier life. Chief Minister has also passed through this stretch many times.
