Kuwait bans commercial flights coming from India in view of growing Coronavirus cases

Kuwait has banned all commercial flights coming from the country in view of the growing Coronavirus cases in India. Earlier, Britain and United Arab Emirates (UAE) also imposed travel restrictions on India in view of Corona. Apart from this, Canada and New Zealand have also banned the entry of Indian aircraft into the country. At the same time, many countries of the world including America have advised their citizens to avoid traveling to India.

According to Reuters news, Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation said in a tweet on Saturday that it has banned all direct commercial flights from India. This ban has come into effect from April 24 and will remain in effect till further notice. At the same time, the statement said that the entry of all travelers coming to Kuwait directly from India or through any other country will be banned, unless they have spent at least 14 days outside India. It states that Kuwaiti citizens and their assistants are exempt from this.

Canada and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have banned flights going to India in view of the increasing cases of India Covid-19. The UAE has banned travel to India for 10 days from Sunday. It was informed that the travel ban will come into force on Saturday 24 April from 11.59 pm and will be reviewed after 10 days. It has been said in the report that passengers going from India in the last 14 days will not be allowed to go to UAE. The UK has included India in the "Red List" which effectively bans all travel from the country.

However, departure flights will continue to operate. Travel Agents Federation of India Eastern Region Chairman Anil Punjabi told that travel agents in India have received notification from Emirates. With effect from April 24, 2021 and for the next 10 days, Emirates flights from India to UAE will be suspended.

Apart from this, travelers who have traveled in India in the last 14 days will not be allowed to travel to UAE from any other point. Affected customers should contact their travel agent or Emirates Contact Center for booking again.
