LAC: India-China may hold 14th round of commander-level talks

The 14th round of Corps Commander-level talks is likely to be held in the second half of December to resolve the ongoing standoff on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China. According to information received from government sources by news agency ANI, an invitation has to come from China for the 14th round of talks. It is believed that these talks can take place in the second half of December.

According to sources, the time will be right for India as the armed forces will celebrate the golden jubilee of Pakistan defeat in 1971 and victory of the Indian Army till December 16. To end the standoff on the India-China border, they are negotiating the LAC in the eastern Ladakh region. Till now, up to 13 rounds of talks have been held between the two countries.

In the military talks held so far between the two countries, the standoff at the friction point on the banks of Pangong Lake and Gogra Heights has been resolved.

However, a solution to the ongoing standoff over the hot springs is yet to be resolved. In such a situation, both the countries now want to find a solution on this.

The Ministry of External Affairs told about the India-China diplomatic discussion on Eastern Ladakh that both sides discussed the situation of the Line of Actual Control in the western sector in a detailed and clear manner. Both sides have agreed on the need for early resolution of pending issues along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.

Also, the developments after the meeting of senior commanders of both the sides held on October 10 this year were also reviewed.
