Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore

Terrorists attacked a police and CRPF contingent on Saturday afternoon in Sopore in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. Two civilians have died in this attack. At the same time, two policemen were seriously injured in the incident. Both the soldiers also died on the way to the hospital. To nab the terrorists, the security forces have started a search operation by encircling the entire area.

Two civilians killed in this terrorist attack have been identified as Manzoor Ahmed and Bashir Ahmed. It is reported that both the civilians killed in the attack were residents of Kral Teng. An SI and two civilians, including three policemen who were injured, were referred to Srinagar. The condition of all was said to be very critical. Police have informed that Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were involved in this attack.

It is worth noting that terrorists in the valley are constantly trying to carry out their nefarious designs. However, the security forces are also constantly keeping an eye on terrorist activities. Till June 1 this year, 48 terrorists were killed in the Valley. Till June 1 last year, a total of 60 terrorists were killed in the valley. Recently security agencies shared this information. The data available with the security agencies shows that in 2020, a total of 221 terrorists were killed, while in 2019, 158 terrorists were killed by the security forces.
