Madhya Pradesh: On Friday, a five-year-old child died in the Khargone area of Madhya Pradesh after being attacked by stray dogs. Sonia, the girl, suffered severe injuries to her neck and other body parts, and while receiving medical care in a hospital, she passed away from heavy bleeding.
The event happened in the boundaries of the Bedia police station, in the village of Bakawa. On Friday afternoon, while the girl was walking to a neighbouring store to buy groceries, she was attacked on the street by around a dozen dogs. When the dogs mauled his daughter, her father, a labourer, was out working.

The five-year-old suffered several injuries to her neck and other body parts when neighbours heard her cries and went to help her.
She was transferred to a government hospital in Bedia and then the district hospital, but civil surgeon Anar Singh Chouhan reported that she passed away from her injuries thereafter. Father of Sonia, Empi Lal, just relocated from Mogargaon to Bakawan village to work in agricultural fields. He is a labourer. His daughter was assaulted while he was at work.

The girl's post-mortem examination would be completed on Saturday before the body is given to the family, according to Khargone Hospital Police Outpost Officer HC Gataram. He also said that Bedia police station will get the case.
